First Bear sighting 2019

Encountered 2 bears yesterday, sow with a cub. Bruins were in a swamp, probably feeding on skunk cabbage. Always look forward to spring sightings.

Excellent, I was out for a couple hikes the last few days looking for signs. Nothing yet but I don’t expect it to be much longer, not a lot snow in the lower elevations around here. Rain is starting to fall and things will melt fast and the bush will green up shortly.

black and grizzly bears have been sighted in the southern of the Yukon including around whitehorse. most of the slopes are bare now. very unusual but it is what it is.

4.5' of snow in the bush around here still (North east Ontario)

I'll be around Logan lake all weekend. I expect to see some tracks in the snow

Got my first Bear Smart report last week. Someone spotted a Black and Grizzly tracks were seen on Williams Creek. Just another day in the forest.
