Got out this morning with a buddy from work.Got this 48 pound male within the first 15min of the first set.Shot it at 270 yards with my Tika 30-06 loaded with a Hornady 165grain Interbond LM.Buy far the best shot I've made on a annimal.I couldn't believe how worked up I got waiting for the shot.I thought that only happened when hunting big game.I had to really work at getting my breathing under control.

Notice the gps tracking collar and the ear tag.I have to call it in on Monday.Part of a study here.Great day for sure.We also got busted on the forth set of the day by a yote that came in right behind us.This could get addictive.

It is the most addictive form of hunting. With big game you get to feel that rush what, maybe twice a year? With yotes it can be 10 times a day everyday!!!!

Pelt was good on entry side but about fist size on exit.Local trapper is going to complain about that when I drop it off for sure.

Mini phantom... Yeah... An upgrade would be good if you want to stick to e-calls... Keep the mini though... They make great coaxers...

Hey Duber.... if you have the phantom caller the external speaker is on special at TSC store dirt cheap right now.... would make for a decent upgrade while you save for a Foxpro

Dont count on too much info,the people running these studies are usually mad you shot the subject animal.A few years ago I shot a doe with an ear tag that said "drugs used, call 1 800 bla bla before consuming" I called a few times with no luck.After I called the mnr and complained they finally responded.The doe was found"orphaned" as a fawn and re habbed by earth rangers and eventually released. 3 years later I shot it in the same concession it was found and released.
I hope they share the info with you but don't count on it.

Guy picked up the collar and carcass tonight.Told me were it was trapped and were it had been in the last 2 weeks.It had really been on the move.About20miles in the last 2weeks.He took my e-mail is going to send me the info they collect from him from the collar and autopsy .Reel nice guy and looking to take all carcasses I get this winter.Hope I get to help him out some more!
