Hey CGN, I'm looking to buy my first CZ. More specifically an SP01 in 40SW. I don't see them come up on EE as much. I know it depends on condition, round count and extras, but can you guys give me an idea what I would expect them to range in price? Thanks in advance.

Cheers
Ray

People shoot .40 in 1911s, because they don't want to run 4t in competition. Everyone else shoots it because their department tells them to. Thanks FBI. Get an SP01 in 9 and be happy.

As messed up as it is, a Shadow will be cheaper.

I may agree with the shadow answer...but still shooting more .40 than anything else...reloaded it's not much more than .9mm..it's a wonderful caliber ...sure get the 9...leave the .40 for me....

No I want a 40, I shoot 9 and 40 in IDPA LOL...how much should I expect to pay for a previously enjoyed CZ?

Maybe you should speak for yourself, lots of people shoot .40

There are people who shoot it but there are also .40 Cal CZ 75 that sit in the display case for a year and a half before it sells while a hundred 9mm CZ 75's sold though out that time. During the local stores big sales, they will sell stacks of 1000rd cases of 9mm while they might sell a case or two of .40. The ratio of people who shoot 9mm vs .40 far outweighs 40 which is why I said and is very true, an undesirable cartridge. I know a store that still has the same two used .40S&W M&P they've had for sale for over a year now. No one wants them. Added recoil, shorter service life, expensive to shoot all equals to sweet @#$% all for sales. The only reason why .40S&W M&P's sell is because they're $50 cheaper than the 9mm. Then Mr Cheapo McGree who tired to same money on the gun realizes after a couple boxes of ammo, damn this thing is expensive to shoot. I wish I got the 9mm. They then go back to the store to try and sell their M&P 40 on consignment but the store won't take it because they can't move the two or three they already have. Ever wonder why they put .40S&W FNH on sale for so cheap? Cheaper than the SD9VE? Because people didn't want them unless they can get them for cheap. Its not a bad cartridge. Its just a bad one for the Canadian market where concealed carry is illegal. If Concealed carry was legal here, Id be carrying a .40S&W.

There is a 75 B in .40 on the EE, been there a while now. I've seen a few of those but can't recall ever crossing paths with an SP-01 in .40 so would be hard for anyone to estimate a cost given how rarely you see them.

rdsc . ca I'd guess

Wow, only $70 less than an SP-01 Shadow 9mm too, and more money than comparable 9mm 75b guns.

Okay so you call it the 40 slow and worthless in one post, then in another you say you'd carry it? Make up your mind, especially when trying to advise others.

By my reckoning....if you can shoot .40 well...9mm .45acp are a breeze...it's a little snappy...but I love that...
