Where do you typically shoot them with buckshot?

Broadside shots on deer using buckshot,I always tell him to aim right on the back where the neck and spine meet. That way when the pellets spread out there is a good chance of a quick kill. Obviously his practice paid off because his first shot on big game and he bags a nice deer.:D
I didn't get a lot of sleep last night,I kept going over the hunt in my head. I have an adrenaline crash this morning, but I love it and wouldn't change it.
I started hunting rabbits and other small game when I about 7 or 8 years old, I'm nearly 50 now and still get a thrill from the hunt.:D
We are going to have a strirfry tonight consisting of minced deer heart, red and green peppers, onions, and chopped fried bacon over Basmati rice.

My congrats to your son! Good on him, and you as his Dad & partner. As I mentioned on another site, may this be the first of many. I look forward to details & pictures at our next 'coffee break' @ 'Timmies' or our next session at the range.
Something you may have to get him now, like mine, :pa Brno OU, model ZH 304 7x57R & 12ga. Good for Bunnies, Grouse & Deer.:D Anyway, good for him, and his hunting partner, you.:)
