I live on an old farm near King City (just N of Toronto). Here's one a friend took on the farm yesterday morning, from right beside the barn! 8 point, he figures about 200 lbs before being cleaned.

Cool. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm venison :)

I haven't been out hunting yet because I blew my knee out back in the summer -- torn ligaments (aviation incident, long story). Just got a new brace, though, that the doc says is good for rough ground, so I'm hoping to get out soon.

You sure got the big fella in the area, great pic, congrats man.
Actually, there's a 10 pointer we've seen a few times, who's probably a bit bigger. Can't be much bigger, though -- the one in the pic is a pretty big boy.

Another friend of mine got one last night on a property near Newmarket. Called me this morning saying he got the "largest buck I ever got in my life." 9 pointer (8 + a stub), and weighed in at 195 lbs after being gutted.

I should have said to the deer:, "could you turn your head this way just a bit...? There, that's good." :)

Yeah, it sucks. Torn MCL here, with lesser damage to the ACL and meniscus.

Your friend did very well , straightshooter! Beauty Buck! I hope your knee gets better so you will have the opportunity to get out.
