First Elk with .338 Lapua.

Shot my first Elk on Saturday. 401 yards with 338 Lapua 250gr accubond that retiained exactly half its original wieght and almost doubled in diameter. It was quartering away bullet hit a rib on the way in and stuck in the shoulder on the other side. The bull took one step and then fell. Rifle is a GAP 7000 action (Lawton) Bartelien barrel, thruster brake, Manners stock, Badger dm, Jewell trigger and a NF 5.5-22X56. It shoots better than I can.

Solid work. I could never get the 225gr ABs to shoot in my Lapua but yours seem to be working just fine.
