First gophers of the year

Was about -15 yesterday with the sun shining and perfect calm. Got 5 gophers with my T97 and should have had 6.

Oh that is unusually cruel! Only -26 here this morning. A few weeks away from that here. It's always nice to get out early to make snow cones.

Yes I saw 20 on Saturday sitting on top of the snow
Last Saturday they were out also Sunday it snowed 3 "

Saw a bunch in the Med Hat area walking around on the snow...would love to smack one in the snow with a 32 gr Vmax at 4200 fps.......splat!!!

Sorry no pics, but they do seem to come out for a few hours on an odd nice day in the winter. Not usually on -15 but it was a "warm" -15. Zero wind and very sunny. Seems to be more around every year for the last three years. Still not lots but a few more every year.

Got out today. It was a bit cloudy and cool. But managed to get 17 with the 17 HMR. Still a nice way to spend an afternoon.
