Hey guys, So I'm getting ready to buy my first gun. I shoot my dads guns at the range all the time and I've taking a liking to his 1911 Sti, So I'm thinking I want to buy the gsg 1911 because I like that set up and It won't kill my wallet to shoot. Just want to see what people have to say about the gun and what they think about it..

Thanks guys, any opinion is knowledge for me

Dear Buck.JR,

Lots of people have called in after buying the GSG 1911 just to say how impressed they are with the pistol for the price. It's a great pistol and the best part is it's cheap to shoot is what is most commonly said about it. There are lots of reviews on the web about it.

Best regards,
Scott

The only thing I didn't like about my GSG was the arched main spring housing. Seemed to force my hand higher up, often disengaging the grip safety. I've since changed to a flat MSH and it feels 10X better. Don't have to fight the grip now.

Other than that, they're great pistols. Mine eats everything I feed it, it's accurate and it looks good and feels great in the hands.

Get extra mags when you get yours.

other question is I dont know if they have fixed it yet but, I've been reading about these and alot of people are saying that the barrel bushing and ambi safeties are breaking cuz there made of cheap zinc alloy? j/w if anyone has newer upgraded model if there is one?

the barrel bushing issue has been solved with the newer guns, not sure about the ambi. you can remove the ambi just by removing the right grip and pulling it out, it will not have any effect on function

I had the original bushing set up. the bushing failed and :puke: springs, plunger and the like on the range out in front of me.
I contacted Scott @ Blueline (on this forum) asked him how much, can I repair it...ect...His response (which was next to immediate) was where do you live?
He shipped everything out to me and I received within the week:dancingbanana: No charge!!!!
Extra Mags is a MUST Imho...3 minimum....Scott can help you out in that dept too.
This Company's customer service is +++++AAAAA and for that reason alone I will be buying again from them. Thanks Scott.

Got mine from BlueLine/Scott, fun gun, cheap and accurate, feeds most ammo (except eley target which jam on all five shots tried.)

Get extra mags. I have 3, will pick up another next time I'm in the store.

Yup. 3 magazines are a must.
I use the MTM Case-gard 22 cal wallets.
Ideal for loading.
Three rows of 10 rounds.
Shoot 30 rounds per relay.

If you know or use these wallets, here's a tip.
I expoxy-glue each two wallets back to back and
have a one-unit, two flaps, 60-round case that fits
in any pocket.
