Handgun ownership for many is a journey of discovery. Just get any modern quality gun and shoot it. Eventually you're try others, some may work better for you or not. If they do some like me, just ditch the old ones. Some like the variety of a large collection.
There really isn't any 'wrong' gun. I have small hands but my first centerfire pistols were the Glock 17 then the Beretta 92FS. The beretta was very accurate.
I think sometimes people take the concept of the 'perfect' gun too seriously. Just shoot, have fun and build skills.
