Sigs

Nothing wrong with Sigs. Very reliable shooters in general. I have two that shoot very well and both have not had any problems.

I also have a Glock and owned others and nothing wrong with them either. Again very reliable shooter with no issues.

I never knew guns had to be "pretty" to be classified as a good reliable gun.

I don't think that going either way will serve you wrong. You just have to decide what your budget is.

The only issue with the Sig is having to shoot beside Stevo and having him ask you if you like de-####! Always crepts me out when he asks me that!!!!!:D:nest:

Actually I received my Certification at the Sig Arms Academy and if you believe that Nitron is "Diamond like" you have never handled one. Please do enlighten me about your theory that Nitron would be harder than stainless steel.
 
I like the all black look, it just seems more functional. When the zombies come, I would rather be harder to see.

Pretty isn't the word i would use to describe it. I work with German and european equipment and I have a great respect for how they design and build things. When I handled the sig it felt perfect, a pure example of modern machining and purpose design. It wasn’t pretty, but handsome in its lines.

All of the controls immediately felt natural and the P226 comfortably came into my line of sight. Every motion felt natural.

The glock, yes is a well designed firearm, though I simply do not like it. It is like admitting that Honda is a very capable automotive manufacture, but I’ll take a Toyota. So looks are a part of it, the glock is ugly. I also did not find the glock (whatever it was, but similar in size to the p226) as comfortable in my hands. It also did not feel right.

My mind is set on Sig, not because I believe that they are the superior product but because they are what I prefer from my limited experience.

Nitron is harder than steel - that's simply one of its physical characteristics. If you don't believe me and my personal experience with various sigs, do a search on this subject on sigforum. The issue has been discussed extensively and the fact that Nitron is harder on the frame than blued or stainless steel is pretty much common knowledge.

And since you claim that Nitron is not a DLC-type finish, perhaps you could explain its chemical composition, being a graduate of the "sig arms academy" and a self-professed expert on all things sig.
 
Today I went to sureshot in PoCo and picked up 500 rounds of 9mm and 5 snap-caps...

Still havn't heard back from a fellow here yet, since i said I'd take the p226 he has... but i'm impacient... it's only been 14 hours since i sent the return pm...

Oh I can't wait!!!

With the tons of cash you save with the Glock, you can buy a Dillon reloading machine and shoot 9mm very reasonably.

glock's got no style. i dont know. i cant stand a non steel/alloy frame on a pistol.
