First Hunt of the Year

I got out to the hunt camp this past weekend for the first time since '07, and the first time to be able to hunt since then also. I spent a good chunk of Saturday and Sunday walking all the trails looking for some Grouse. I only managed to flush one and I only heard it fly off as it was behind me at the time. My dad however was able to bag 3 while driving the road. I have never seen it this bad for Grouse out there in 25 years. In fact there was very little sign of any ground animals, squirrels, chipmunks, rabbits.... The only thing of interest that I saw was a damn fisher. Which would explain the lack of everything else.....

A fisher is a much more interesting animal to see than any of those other varmints you list.

Since it ate every grouse and rabbit in the country it must have been a fat bastard eh?
