Okay, sorry if I am driving people nuts with all the 357 stuff, but I have a few questions as I do not have much load data.

I made up 4 different loads

.357 158 Winchester JHP 6.7 and 7.1 H-Universal
Bothe of these rounds work fine and are accurate.

.38 Special 158 Winchester JHP 4.2 and 4.6 H-Universal
These rounds shoot well and are accurate, but there seems to be a lot of unburned powder? Thoughts? Possibly because of the load density? The cases are only half full in both cases.

All rounds used the winchester magnum small pistol primers, Recoil for all of these loads was significantly less than factory remington .357 and .38 special.

My Speer manual does not have a lot of .357 data so any pet loads/powder/bullet/primer reccomendations greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!!

For .38Spl I would try Unique or Win 231 for powders. The use of Magnum Primers isn't necessary in the .38Spl. You should be able to find all kinds of load combinations using these two powders in .38Spl. Go to Alliant and Winchester websites for more information.

I like 2400 or Win 296 in the .357 Mag.

Take Care
