Finally put together my first precision rifle. It is a 700 VS 308 purchased from a CGN member here. I installed NF rings, base & NXS 3.5-15 mil dot scope with Harris benchrest bipod. Can't wait to try it this weekend in the cold!!!

I have never shot a rifle with a scope so have a newbie questions.
On the scope, the height adjustment has an arrow and reads "UP", the windage has arrow with "R". If it shoots high, do I adjust it towards UP or the other way around? How does the windage work? 0.25 MOA will be how many inches when I sight it in at 100 yards? Ammo is so expensive now also hard to get so I don't want to waste any

Thanks for your help guys!

As you can see obviously my dog does not like my rifle at all :D

UP will move the bullet impact UP and R will move the bullet impact Right. 1/4 MOA clicks is roughly 1/4" at 100 yards so 4 clicks to move it an inch roughly.

Where did your get that stock bag from? I'm looking for one of those for my .308 PSS! Anybody got an extra one?

Nice lookin rig you got there!

My best group is .361@100 using 3 rounds of 147 FMJ handloads

I have bolt idea where you can get the shell holder on the stock. I got it from the past owner. Let me know if you find one. I don't reload so I just bought hunting ammo to give it a test first.

Nice rifle. I am like you - do not reload. After trying 15 different type of ammo, I finally found the right match with the barrel. Hopefully yours will match up with cheaper ammo than my rifle.
Once you are good at 100 yd, it is time to move out to longer distance.

If it's a Eagle stock pack, you can get them at Triad Tactical. Google is your friend.

Nice setup for a first rifle!

Seals Action Gear also sells them. John is a good guy to deal with and have bought several from him. He is in Calgary where Triad Tactical is south of the border.

Very nice rig, I love the stocks on those ones. Although, I'm not a huge fan of sunshades, in this case, I'll make an exception. :D
