First New .303 British MK3

Picked it up today. Bore has no pitting, Some light rust under the bolt on the receiver. Going to take it out This week to try. I know nothing about it really. Hopefully it shots. lol. Pretty sure its a MK3, Not sure it the barrel is cut but probably. Its all drill and tapped so it might get scoped in the summer if it shoots well.

it looks to be a No.1 Mk.3, probably a commercial sporter based on the front sight ramp

What's the barrel length? An issue barrel will be 25". Suspect it is an aftermarket though. Check the headspace just the same.
The forend has been painted to have a pretend snobble. What's stamped on the wrist?

I think its 25, Not to sure, here is a pic. I measured from the muzzle crown. This thing possible to restore to military stock? the wrist has a crown stamped on top, GR with date, And SMLE underneath, MK III *. Barrel has ENGLAND stamped on it and lots of other jiberish.
