First NSSA shoot.

I plan to shoot my first skeet competition in mid August. I'd like to shoot some regiatered targets at my club before then so I can establish a class first rather than entering as NC.

My question is, how long before the competition should I shoot my targets? Am I already too late to have my class established before Aug 18?

Shoot them whenever you would like to prior to Aug 18.

There is no right or wrong answer as to when you should do it, but as you mention, if you have registered targets in prior to the 18th (Waterford I presume) you will then be classified and eligible to win your class.

Doesn't matter when you shoot the registered targets before hand, as you are on the hook to keep a scorecard up to date with your scores.

It could be the day prior, and even if the scores have not hit the NSSA Computer, they are still your scores and your class will be determined from those scores.

I'll have to talk to the refs at the club. I've signed up with the NSSA, but the process of keeping a score card, submitting it, (or even where to get the score card) I'm clueless on.

The NSSA should mail you a score card (blue this year) after you sign up.
