Well I finally bought my first gun.:dancingbanana:
Went to a local gun show with a friend and as soon as I saw it I had to have it.

Mossberg 144 LSB. It has seen better days but nothing that can't be fixed. I now have to track down a set of Lyman peep sights for it.
Damn this thing is heavy. :D

Yeah i heard the rumour that mossberg actually sold one of those! now i know who bought it:D

while I never tried one, I think it is a good purchase, be it #1 or #325 rifle.

How much did you pay for it?

dollar store.... 1$ toys.... range.... lots of fun....
 
I have quite a few Mossbergs, including a 44US. These rifles, although not the most attractive on the block, tend to be very accurate and trouble-free. Enjoy your purchase! It will bring you many smiles, I'm sure. Regards, Eagleye.

$200. I know I didn't get the deal of the century but I have seen these go for double that in $US. I'm sure I could clean it up and flip it for more if I wanted to... but I don't want to. :)
 
If you want original sights give Jason Spencer a call at gunco 613-224-6266 he has tons of mossberg parts.i am a big mossberg fan and can tell you they all shoot very well.if he has what you need let me know and i can get them to you.

The same guy I bought this one from had an Armalite AR 50 sitting on the table right beside it <sigh> I wish I had the $7000 he was asking for it. :(
 
As much it is macho, the way powdergun delicately put it, work your way up there, otherwise you'll find your interest in guns severely shadowed by the many things only experience will teach each of us....
