first pistol 9mm

LOL! at not listening to anything said in the entire thread :p

Hope you enjoy your new baby. And seeing that your just starting in pistols, i hope you know what you got yourself into :) MAke sure you ask someone at the range with lots of experience to show you proper technique so that you'll be able to master the recoil without FTE's and will be able to practice your follow up shots. Little bit of advice. if you do not keep your wrists firm and shoot limp wristed, you will first have terrible accuracy and it will also cause your gun to malfunction.

Have fun:D

I know, I am still going to buy a 9mm, I got the p90 at avery good price and also purchased a marlin 45-70 rifle for less money then the 9mm's I was looking at. Next pay I will go after a 9mm.

LOL, I wish I could buy a gun at every payday...

You did exactly what you should have done, got in a store and bought 1 that you felt comfy with

Did that with my CZ85 Combat 5 years ago... Never had a problem with it
BTW, Wolverine Supplies has great price on CZ... :D

I would go as far as to say Wolverine has everything you will every need at good prices! Thats where i just bought my Hi-Power and I couldn't be happier.

Your right, but the sell my CZ for 85$ less that what I paid someplace else...

Hi power X5. You really cant go wrong here.

Grip angle/ergonomics is universally praised as excellent

All steel construction will withstand any load you put in it. Keep in mind that the Nato 9mm is "said" to be similar to a hot +P load. So fire standard, +P, or even +P+ if you feel like it, and have no worries about damaging the gun.

Simplicity of takedown.

Even though they're not "that" expensive, its one of those handguns that no one can look down on you for owning, unlike the Norcs.

The history of the gun. Its the handgun of the commonwealth!

Only downside, if you can call it that is the mag disconnect. And one plus is that they (so far) have resisted the urge to put any dumb rails on it.
