After a long deliberation about my first gun, mostly between a target bolt gun and a 9mm I've finally opened the wallet. (a broken leg was a big delay, I've been lurking here for awhile)

I've got a thing for all metal pistols, I shoot marginally better with a Shadow than a 226, and a friends tuned Canadian Shadowmate fits me like a glove.

SO. Shadow 2 delivery tomorrow :)

I've picked up a pretty wide variety of ammo from Cabelas, 115, 124 and 147. Find out what I like to shoot before I spend in bulk. I'll be taking some private training before too long, and hopefully get into a black badge course during the winter.

Wanted to pop in today and share my excitement, and pick your brains a little bit. Tips on cleaning, cleaning kits, dry fire practice (snap caps or don't bother?) General storage in the house. I'll likely shoot factory for awhile and collect some brass, but the desire to reload is definitely there.

Any links or advice you guys want to share is much appreciated, pics coming!

CZ is a good choice, excellent pistol. I have the Shadowline and the new CZ2 and I shoot them better than my other semi handguns, however we all know it's a personal and fit thing as to what one shoots best. I haven't found any issue with the different grains of 9mm, shoots them all well for me. Reloading 9mm was too much for me unless I added to my single stage and turret press setups and I don't shoot enough 9 to justify it. Good luck on the adventure, and addiction.

Congrats! You picked a winner. I love my S2 and to me, it's almost close to point and shoot good. Out of the box, it's really nice, tuned/slicked up, it's even better.
