1. After transfer is approved do i have to wait for cfo to send papers to dealer or is it done online/over the phone before dealer can ship?
2. For those who live in quebec, am i looking at days or weeks for att?

1. not sure what exactly goes on at this end of the deal but if its done like a used not-restricted they should get the OK over the phone pretty fast.
2. a couple months ago it was days anyways, I received it the same day i received the gun actually :)

Thanks for response, i called the dealer and told them it was approved, as they didn't want to chase it (said it would annoy the cfo and it might hold it up) they told me they have to wait for the paperwork to be sent to them by post. I thought it was a bit strange as i could call the cfo to check on the status and they have to wait for paperwork.

3.5 weeks to get the transfer.
 
last time i bought a pistol from a dealer i called in the transfer then called back later that same day and got them to e-mail me my transfer notice and my new long term and short term ATT.

so when i went to pick it up i had every thing i needed

i didn't need the dealer to do anything except call in to start the transfer

if you wait for it to come in the mail that's okay too but it takes longer

Thanks IM_Lugger, i have a feeling the dealer is telling me porkies, i was told by the cfo that they would send me the cert. I think i will be calling the dealer again tomorrow.

if you wait for it to come in the mail that's okay too but it takes longer

aheppner, sorry i mean the dealer not myself, the dealer is telling me he has to wait for cfo to send him paper work by post

i had similar issues with a sponsor on here..

I had recieved the notice saying that my transfer was approved for said pistol i bought from dealer, and they waited a extra week for no reason, as they could of easily found out by making a 5 minute phone call. They pretty much gave me the feeling that I was lying when I said it was approved and emailed them the picture of the CFO's letter. Oh well, I will never spend a penny with them again...
