Hey Everyone,

Can anyone recommend the right magazine (brand/quality) to use on a new Tavor (and where to get them)? I have read on the forum that the Tavor doesn't like Pmags. This will be my first military style rifle and I want to get the best quality/longest lasting accessories for it. Also, as a side note, I assume most people use 223 rather than 556 as well.

BTW this is my first post...awesome forum and I have enjoyed learning from you guys.

Pmags are fine. You might need to modify them slightly at the back if they are gen2.

Personally I like the D&H mags. They work in all my rifles. AR, Tavor, T97. A bit loose feeling but they work great and more importantly I don't have to worry about which magazines for which rifle. I have a few of the Lar 10 round pistol mags as well. Work fine but haven't tried them out in the T97 yet.

My Tavor seems to run well with any standard AR mags. I like how the Gen 3 Pmags look in it, but have mostly taken to shooting my .50 Beowolf mags in it recently because 16 is better than 5!
 
Great first post. Since you got great answers so far I would like to add you passed the first two tests with flying colours...you didn't refer to it as an a$$ault rifle and you didn't call it a clip. You will definitely fit in here nice. Give it a week or two and you will see what I mean.
