im new to realoading, i have been doing alot of research but i cant make up my mind on a shotshell press. Im trying to decide between the lee load all and a mec 600 jr
Any ideas?

Mec.

I have one, should use it more. But the cheap ammo for cheap shooting,is cheaper than reloads, and I've not stocked up the hulls I will need to make it worth sitting down and loading up some light 2 1/2 inch loads.

Cheers
Trev

I have both, prefer the Mec by a longshot. Instead of getting all the diff charge bars, I have the adjustable bar, a lot cheaper and easier.

I have a Lee Load-All in 12ga. I like it a LOT. I also have 2 MEC 600 Jr,s one in 20 ga and one in .410. I don't like them as much. Can't get a .410 from Lee, but I have thought hard about ordering a 20ga sometime soon. Once I nail down a decent supplier of shot, hulls, and wads. Powder I got. Primers I got. But no cheap sources of shot unless I make my own. Guess I need to drill out a pan and drip some lead through it.
OP,
If I was doing it new, I'd just go with the Lee Load-All. A buddy had one when I was a kid. I can't count the number of 20ga shells we reloaded on that thing for rabbits and grouse. My 12ga one is still going although I haven't used it as much in the last 10 years since moving to AB. Less upland game, rabbits, and skeet shot. I need to fix that...

I have a lee load all in 16, have had it since the 80's and it has loaded many many thousands of rounds. It definitely is the most bang for the buck I have ever got from any piece of reloading equipment.
