My first ever purchase arrived in the mail this morning! Paid for on Remembrance Day, mailed out the next day on the 12th November, and after merely 3 business days it's at my doorstep this morning! It's my favorite rifle of all time, had always wanted one since I was a kid; the Mauser Kar98k! This beauty here is a RC Kar98k dot 1944 from Weimajack. Thank you sir for letting me have this beauty from your personal collection! I agree 100% with you, it's the nicest one I've ever seen! The photos don't really does it justice because they were taken by my iPhone5:

It's a dot 1944

Serial number 93, with eagles intact and looking menacing!

And what REALLY MADE MY DAY is the fact that when it arrived, the captured screws and cleaning rods were included and already in place! I was searching on eBay and milsurp sites for the items these past few days, Weimajack my friend saved me ALL the trouble by giving them to me without charge!

Not only that, but when I was going though the packing material, I am also given an authentic Kar98k leather ammo pouch and cleaning kit!! The whole package is shown below:

It was really like opening an early Christmas present tonight when I got home, and with the bonus contents, sir Weimajack, you have my undying gratitude! Thank you for making my first purchase such a pleasant one, hope to buy from you again really soon!! I love you sir, wish you (and those of you reading this post right now) a wonderful day and God bless you all!! :d

Way to go! You got a great milsurp at the right price. I bought a rifle from Weimajack and he gives you good value rather than you having
to figure out what is good on your own. Will you be shooting it?

Robert Nicholson - I agree with you totally Robert!! He really gave me way more than I expected! Will definitely have to buy Weimajack a beer if he ever visits the West Coast!! I will probably take it down the range to put a few rounds in it, then keep it clean and shiny in my safe. I intend to keep this one, so may just go through a few rounds with it. :)

gordonlbyrne - Yes, but I actually like one or two of the same rifle type. I'll be getting a M91/30 next, then Enfield/Arisaka/Carcano after that! Yes I do like bolt-actions! :)

cornelunc - Let's just say it's worth every penny, and way more!! Weimajack really gave me the best deal I've ever imagined, he's a kind man!

jbmauser - Thank you sir, by looking at your username, I can tell you have a fabulous Mauser collection of your own!! :)

shoot_to_kill - I totally agree sir! Do you love yours too?! :)

JTF - You bet sir!

Still alive - Yes buddy you have no idea how I felt when it arrived! It's like an early Christmas, even more so than that!! How are you my friend?! Oh and please check PM sorry for the late reply (again). Work really got me tied up this week :(

Coyote Ugly - Thank you sir, I admire it everyday! :)

nice rifle enjoy it ,they are built to last .There is something about the K98 that makes you want to have another one.

How much was shipped to your door??

Nice looking rifle. It's a great start to your collection.

Nice gun, I have a DUV41 k98 myself. They are well built pieces of history.

Glad to see such enthusiasm from a new gunny! You got a good one there! Enjoy it!
OP, you have to be the politest guy I've ever seen on CGN!:rockOn:

Nice Rifle!

I hope you have a good experience shooting your K98! Have you been doing some shooting with a .22 so that you have all the basics down pat?
The K98 might knock you around and treat you badly if you aren't ready for it.

Do you know where you are going to get your Mosin-Nagant M91-30? Many places seem to want to charge about $200 for an indifferent example.
I ended up not receiving a bayonet with mine! Not that I need it, but it is part of the experience, so make sure you get yours.

I'm thinking of getting another Mosin-Nagant, this time with the hex receiver, which Weimajack has some very nice examples of, something to think about.

Hello Robert, haven't taken it down the range yet, was going to wait until it gets a little less rain. I haven't fired a .22 yet, I really should start from there, like you said. I am also having my eyes on Weimajack's collection for sale, will be picking one from his Mosins.

I will sure look for matching numbers and the bayonet, thank you for the reminder! :)

Have a nice day, talk soon!

You won't go wrong with Weimajack, he obviously makes a point of including the accessories! His hand picked examples are very nice looking and at the best
price that I have seen so far.
