Again, most dealers will not release the firearm until they have recived that white bit of paper from the CFO called a "Transfer Notification (Seller)"
You said the transfer was approved in 2 days. And that they shipped a week after the transfer was approved and that your ordered it on July 12.
Now depending on what time you placed the order online, they may not have started working on it physicaly until Friday the 13th. 2 days you say for CFO approval (discount the weekend) so that puts that at the 17th or 18th. A week later(25th) apparently according to you they ship(keep in mind it can take 7 days after its approved for the notice to be recived via mail) Once its shipped its all up to Canada Post as to when it gets to you.
So a total of 13 days from order placement to shipped.
Minus 4 non-business days that's 9 standard working days. Minus the 2 days the CFO took to do the transfer and the approx 5 business day wait for the written notice to be recived that's a total of TWO (2) days SFRC took to handle your order. One to process, and another to ship.
Could have been faster, yes. But on their end they did things pretty quick. It doesn't help that 3 other entities are involved that SFRC has no control over. They can only do what they can do from their end. Which by the sounds of things they did VERY well and effecintly.
