This was my first purchase from SFRC not my best experience but im sure wont be my worst in the gun world. My issue slow service my NP22 was approed by the CFO for a week before it was shipped and i feel the only reason it got shipped when it did was because i sent two emails telling them it was approved. It took me almost a month to get a firearm from them. Yes i did get it and thank you but just found the service slow. order date 12 july. Just hope my next order will be more positive.

Some dealers will not ship a restricted firearm until they recive written transfer notification from the CFO. I don't see this being SFRC's fault in anyway. Sounds like your issue is with the amount of time it took the CFO to approve the transfer. This has nothing to do with SFRC and is completely out of their control.

Again, most dealers will not release the firearm until they have recived that white bit of paper from the CFO called a "Transfer Notification (Seller)"

You said the transfer was approved in 2 days. And that they shipped a week after the transfer was approved and that your ordered it on July 12.

Now depending on what time you placed the order online, they may not have started working on it physicaly until Friday the 13th. 2 days you say for CFO approval (discount the weekend) so that puts that at the 17th or 18th. A week later(25th) apparently according to you they ship(keep in mind it can take 7 days after its approved for the notice to be recived via mail) Once its shipped its all up to Canada Post as to when it gets to you.

So a total of 13 days from order placement to shipped.
Minus 4 non-business days that's 9 standard working days. Minus the 2 days the CFO took to do the transfer and the approx 5 business day wait for the written notice to be recived that's a total of TWO (2) days SFRC took to handle your order. One to process, and another to ship.

Could have been faster, yes. But on their end they did things pretty quick. It doesn't help that 3 other entities are involved that SFRC has no control over. They can only do what they can do from their end. Which by the sounds of things they did VERY well and effecintly.

Often the CFO's don't fax/email us anything to let us know the transfer is approved which sometimes causes delays. As well you ordered a presale firearm so we couldn't process it until it arrived.

As well we're short a person until Sat as I am shooting in Virginia

WOW! So not only did SFRC not even have the firearm instock when you ordered, they still managed to get it out to you within 2 working days on their end of things. That includes having to recive the firearm into their invintory and hand inspect it prior to contacting CFC to start transfer and then box it up and ship to you.

That's lightning fast!

yes i understand that i have several restricted firearms, this is not my first time around the block or ordering on line there is more to the story than you know i was just venting my experience i have ordered from other places and had the firearm in a week and a half at my door. you making this out to be more than it has to be my friend im just one person and that is my view on SFRC i didnt give them a thumb's down or anything. 3 quarter thumbs up.

High 5 to Ryan and the rest of the SFRC team on such a quick turn around for an item that wasn't even in stock when order was placed!

no they did not get it to me in 2 working days you dont know ALL THE FACTS so let it be, its ppl like you make it bad for ppl on here to leave a review

Ahh but you can't judge the company on things of which they have no control over. Only of the things they do have, and how well they did them. You bought an item you knew was pre-sale as it was not in stock at the time, granted its going to take longer then if the item had been in stock.

So as far as comparing to other restricted purchases you have made online elsewhere, its apples and oranges my friend.

by no means am i here to cause problems but i keep reading that we don't know the whole story. and its just MY opinion but if I was to start a thread that's soul purpose was to voice my "unhappiness" about a company. i would be giving the whole story. to avoid confusion.

like i said there is more to the story man this turned out to be more than i wanted it to be the whole pre sale issue was a mess thats all i had to change the order. i have no prob waiting i was being told 2 different stories.

thas my review thats final

Oh you're on of the NP34 people, sorry about the confusion with that mix up. I'm going to lock this as its quickly going down hill.

What we need to do is get your CFO to start emailing transfer approvals like many of the others do.

Ryan
