First Range Day with "new" Enfield Sporter

Got the gun out for some extended shooting on Sat. Shot 45rnds through her, and she did great. (thanks louthepou!)

Decided to shoot the last 2 rnds of the day out to 200yards at some deer target a guy hung and never shot at before leaving. My 1st shot right thru the lung!

Really like this rifle and being my first one ever...probably wont be sold.

Silverdale... Range is awesome. Was first time there. Just paid the $20 guest fee and they were super nice and friendly.

Today I was shooting my 500 s&w handi rifle and I think my shoulder would have appreciated the good old 303 instead.
Next trip I make, I'll have to take the old girl out of the safe.

I was at Silverdale with Cyclone in late May or early June. A great, well opereated range, and with very professional helpful range wardens.

I did not see the grouping but a great practical hunting rifle!

yea buddy tried to get the camera to focus thru the range finder, but didnt work.

100 yards was harder than hitting the deer at 200yards! Sights start at 200yards, so 100 is a mishmash of trying to figure out how low to aim.

Any tips?

I wasn't getting 1MOA or anything, hell it took a bit to find paper to start. But i could definitely hit a deer/person - and i think that was what it was designed for.

got out again this past Sunday.

managed to get a "bullseye" twice (once out of every 10 rnd magazine) @ 100yards

here is a pic of my first "grouping". i dont think its that bad for iron sights - but you guys be the judge.
