Well techincally second as I was out last weekend but had a bad scope.After purchasing a new Vortex from Grouse River I got out again today to sight it in.Was a much better day having equipment that works.The only ammo I used today was Federal champion bulk and Win M22,saving the match ammo till I get better.Here's my 100yd target at the end of my session shooting off a Caldwell bag outside with a slight cross wind.
I was out again this morning trying to improve on my shooting.Yes match ammo and the higher end stuff makes a huge differance .Also see why everyone loves the CCI mini mags as they shoot pretty dam good.Was a slight wind today and found that if I let the gun cool for a couple of minutes the groups tightened back up.I tried a bunch of bulk stuff today and none of it really works well.The Lapua standard and RWS club worked well.Soon i'll have to try the 50 yd challenge.All my shooting today was 50yds.I also need to invest in a better rest as the bags are too all over the place.Loving the savage BV and Vortex scope ,neither missed a beat today.Pulled out my 25 year old sporter 1022 today and shot 2 groups,yuck can't believe I have shot that all these years ,loving my new bolt gun its my favorite now.
