When a dealer has initiated the transfer for a restricted firearm, let's say an AR-15, into your name, will you be contacted by the RCMP during this process of the transfer?

Thanks

Hi there! My names Matt from Georgetown/ Halton Hills. I pick up my restricted firearm about 2 months ago and I was wondering why I haven't received a call from my local police department to inspect my safes or have an interview. Am I in trouble? Do I call the local police? Any thoughts? Please and thanks.

I'm not sure where you got the idea that you need to have your stuff inspected but you don't. If there is ever an inspection, the inspecting agency (local police/RCMP) have to contact you and make an appointment. And you won't be asked to be inspected UNLESS you actually are a bad boy.

The Chief Firearms Officer contacted me and wanted a scanned copy of my range membership when I purchased my first restricted firearm.

that has to do with an att not just a purchase. you don't need a range membership unless you want to actually use your guns.
