I know you all must be real tired of us newbs asking your adivce on a first shotgun. So here is the deal, I wanna shotgun and have a $400 Ralph Check. I was set on getting an 870 but seems they have been a bad rap on the Express models. Thus I am looking for alternatives that are under $400 and can be used for various things. Thanks for taking the time to help, I much appriciate it.

my next pump shotgun will be a benelli nova.
if i have to buy a cheap shotgun i think it would be a used one.
look at the exchanges forum, wou will probably find a good deal on a 1300 or a remington wingmaster.
 
i just bought a mossberg 500 turkey for about 450. full camo 24 inch barrel .depends what u wanna do with it. if your looking for a bird / clay gun u can get a stoeger p 350 for around 400 bucks full camo 26" 0r 28" with 6 chokes. i was gunna get one but i hate the way they feel. good luck !!

Low cost Shotgun fun (approx $200.00), most Mossberg barrels and accesories fit. :) I love mine. :)
 
Shot GUN!

Pick up a used Wingmaster or Win 1300 or whatever for 200-300 bucks, they're all capable guns. Then spend $100 on shells and go shootin'.
