Took out my SRS-A1 today, it was kinda rainy entire day not that big of a deal. I have shot out to 300 yards pretty regularly, but never going for groups and never with this rifle.
I plugged in the data to bulletdrop on my ipod touch, 2250 FPS, 175 gr VLD under 38 gr of 4064 in lapua brass with GM210m primers. I needed 1.9 mil of elev, was basically dead on. Figured I'd shoot a 5 round group atleast, was pleasantly surprised with the results. I was using the center of the diamond as an aiming point, I probably should have adjusted elev to be lower. I should have aimed smaller.
Figured I'd try again, but this time with only 1.7 mils of elev. I was using the top corner of the diamond as the aiming point, so this time I had more of a consistent hold.
First 9 rounds were awesome, let the last one go and as soon as I pulled the trigger I knew I had pulled.
Then with my last 5 rounds I had a clean target left at 200m figured why not? I suppose I should be using a smaller aiming point.
It measured 1.639" center to center.
All in all, I am VERY happy with my rifle, atleast now I know it's not the rifle but the shooter.
