The Berger hybrids are like the smk's in that they are not picky about seating/jump and the bc is better than the vld's. I don't know why Berger still makes the vld's since they came up with the hybrid.

The vld's still have their place.
For example the 115vld shoots like this in my insite 6xc (300 yards, shot today during load testing):

Where the 105 hybrids I cannot get to shoot better than this, 300 yards as well, .3 grain jumps of varget for each target:

The 105 hybrids just don't shoot as well as the 105sc-l or 115 vld's in this particular rifle.
So they're still useful if the rifle likes them. Pain in the ass to be chasing the throat to keep them jammed and retuning the powder volume to compensate for the change in oal, but you can't argue with the results !
