Let me first say the people at TITS were super friendly and could just smell the newbie on me! lol. I by no means am a stranger at shooting but I must say "range shooting" is voodoo compared to hunting to me. Of course as all of us do in the morning looking in the gun locker figuring out what to bring, I settled on my pump waterfowl. Yup I sucked! But I gotta say, its the most fun you'll have with your pants on! If there are any guys out there that are hesitant of going out to a range and shooting, I highly recommend going out. I don't know why it took me so long to go back, but I should have gone years ago. After the PAN-AM stuff gets finished this place(TITS) will be much better. Plus you can tell your wife your going out to shoot at tits. Haha Uncle Stevie approved.

If you think shooting clay targets is the most fun you can have with your pants on you should try it with your pants off!! Just don't do it at a northern club during black fly season is all!! ;)
 
Great video!! Man, let's hope she doesn't get that long hair caught in the action?!! ;)

Can I offer a bit of advice?

Try and get your wife to lean forward a bit and into the shot with weight on the forward knee which in this case being a right handed shooter will be her left knee. Leaning back as she is doing is really taking alot out of her ability to swing the gun fluidly and absorb the recoil from the shot. I see this often with new shooters and with a bit of coaching to correct the bad habits and put good fundamentals in place the scores improve dramatically. Plus another issue that often causes this is an incorrect length of pull stock. If the LOP is too long shooters stretch their shoulder back to get the gun in the shoulder pocket and in doing so lean back. I watched the video a second time to pick up on how she was holding the gun etc. and could see right off that she is back a bit far on the stock IMO. Take the time and the small expense to get the gun to fit properly, practice good basic stance and gun mounting fundamentals and she will see her scores rise faster than the target!! :)

Thanks for the tips. That video was actually a year ago and she has since bought herself a Wingmaster Classic Trap pump action. Her shooting has also improved in the past year.
 
It just went there for the first time today. I haven't shot in probably 10 years, everyone was friendly to me and the wife it was great. Can't wait to go back.
