Well, I sure had some fun today. I got to shoot catnthehat's custom 300WSM at the range.

I've never shot a well built, accurate rifle like that before.

We were able to call and hit a rock the size of a grapefruit, and a half chunk of a clay pigeon at 500m repeatedly. (Well, OK, not repeatedly on the clay lol)

Very, very cool, I must say.

Damn you cat, I can't afford another toy just yet... LOL
 
I've got to go babysit some labourers for a while... I might be able to sneak away later though...

That stuff's just too cool.

Cat....looks like we missed ya, just got home shortly after 1:00, Johny 5 and I were walking out to the 500 meter to set up some reflective 3" plates and a rubber doggie toy to simulate a gopher, we noticed a whole bunch of bullet skidmarks in the snow between the 400 and 500 mark. We said that can't be CattheHat's shooting:eek: :p :p :D they looked about 4 MOA short of target!!:eek: :p :p :D Nope couldn't be you!! must have been someone who went after you they looked fresh!!;) But Johny5 was sure it was you.;) :p :D the vertical line worked perfect for the boulders you were shooting at!!!:)

Since we got another, does that give us enough to push out to atleast 1000 meters????? If it does I will cut back on the razzing 50%.

Is anyone going out to the range tomorrow? I'll be there for sure, just wondering if I'll have any company.

:) Well now we know why it's called Winchester Short Magnum!!:p :p :D :)

We know they aren't yours Cat!!, just couldnt resist. If you try to walk up the berms to place clays or other Items be carefull they are slicker than snot after it warms a bit. They were still frozen in the AM but as it got warmer.......I pulled a header on the 500.

Good shooting tomorow.

I don't have to put up clays, there are always a whole bunch left that were missed from guys with black plastic stocked rifles that were shooting at them on the 500 meter berm...!
