First time hunting rifle ammo recommendations

Hello everyone! I just got my pal, and I would like to know what the general recommendation would be for an optimal round. I’m looking for a one gun for both precision and being able to go hunting for large game. Thanks!

Can't beat the 30-06. From deer to moose.
Or try the new 7mm prc. Best of both worlds. Finding ammo is a bit of a bitćh

30-06 is a waste of powder, heavier actions, longer bullets, etc.

At minimum get a 308 and shoot 150-180gr soft points for hunting.
Get a 6.5 CM if you dont mind people insulting you and are bad at compensating for distance.
Get a .243 or .270 if you want the the advantages of above but without mockery from the boomers.

This questions been asked and the answers are already on here. Get a ruger predator or T1x and find ammo that it likes. Learn to shoot.

Another recommendation for .308 Win. Lots of ammo in a wide range of weights and price points. do some experimenting and find a load that gives you the accuracy you need for the distance you will be hunting. lots of options for reloading as well.

I've tried multiple factory loads out of many different guns and found 150 works the most consistent
