First time out with the 338 EDGE

LMAO Rick.. yea yea..LOL..it is a shame there are so many of us suckers out here eh???LOL

Personally I think the suckers are the guys that buy cheap stuff and then regret it. There are many who buy less expesive kit and are happy, but I hear alot from guys who tried to cheap out in the precision or long range game and then realize that to spend more once is better than spending more twice.
I have yet to find anyone who is upset with getting high quality product.

Yeah.. that came out wrong Rick sorry.. Every thing we have ever picked up from you has been first quality products.. It is like we are addicted to the products you sell..

I agree my 1st gen slings had a rather tacky camo pattern, did not show well, but worked fine. It was all I had available to work with at the time and on short order.
Rest assured that the new production 1s are more along the lines of everything else we build. High priced and top quality:eek:

Not meaning to hijack a thread, but you can put me down for one of those fine slings Rick ! :)

I designed that sling, that particular 1 is 1 of the early prototypes.
The idea being that you can carry the rifle on 1 shoulder, or wear the rifle backpack style if you should need the use of both hands.
I set this up after having to try and drag an animal back to the truck while hunting with my 50 cal that weighs 28 lbs a few years ago.
They work well and are a fair bit more than $5.00:)
The latest generation should be in stock in about 4 weeks.

1. Is it like a biathlon sling, then?
2. Is it compatible with the QD flush cups (like on PGW rifles)?

Thanks

Kevan will do!!
Redman I am not truly knowledgeable about biathalon slings, but my slings use any type of QD sling mounts 1" loops and there are 2 quick release hasps on the bottom part of the sling to allow you to disengage 1 of the 2 sling straps to facilitate easy on or off.
The 1 strap is non slip the other is regular cordura so when carrying the rifle with just 1 strap on the shoulder the rifle is not constantly slipping off he shoulder.

Once I have these in hand I will post photos of the sling in use. I have been using 1 for a few years and find it works great.

Rick,

Here's a fellow Albertan wearing one:

By the sound of it, your's looks like this, only the individual straps can be released, and one doesn't have padding, correct?
