Just got my first rifle(Mossberg Patroit in 308). Got a suggestion from a friend to look for a 1-6 or 2-7 rifle scope for moving hunt...I searched and got couple that I like based on the price. 1-6 is really hard to find for the price I am looking for, so I had Burris Predator 2-7 scope and the Leupold VX1 2-7 scope. I read many different comparison articles...think both are pretty decent for my purpose, but price wise..the Burris is cheaper in my area, with only different in performance of a 1/2 MOA Burris vs 1/4 MOA Leupold. Any recommendation would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Don't know what the vx1 is worth new but you can find older vx11 and vx111 on here for $400-600 and the glass and quality is much better IMO . If looks don't matter to you you might find one cheaper yet with scratches , ring marks etc
Regardless what model leupold is hard to beat
Saying that Nikon has pretty good scopes for cheap new , glass is as good or better than the vx1 ,don't know about their warranty or longevity
