First trip out with my NP22, slight mag issue

Well, I'm super happy. Accurate and ran like a Swiss watch. What a joy to shoot. The only issue I had was with two mags. I purchased 2x .40 cal mags to go with it. Almost 95% of the time, the slide would lock back while there was still one round left in the mag. Release the slide and the round chambers without issue. Anything I should be looking at? The 9mm mag worked perfect, every time.

What 40 cal mags did you get? I recently picked up an NP22 , now I need more mags

Have you looked at it side by side with a 9mm mag? You should see where the differences lie and make the necessary adjustments.

I used mags from the np58. It f took a bit of staring, but after a bit I figured out what was going on. There was even a witness mark on the part of the follower that pushes on the slide stop.
