I recently got a new valtro PM5 and was kind of surprised to see the barrel wasn't all smooth and chromed like other shotguns I've used. I dont want to say it was rough but it was kind of like a matt finish on the inside. I've since shot a few slugs out of it and find cleaning it that there are quite a few little flakes of what I assume is lead coming out and it takes a very very long time to get them all out. The inside of the barrel is a little more "shiney" now but still not perfectly smooth. Is this normal?
Also if I am shooting consistantly high do I want to elevate the rear sight to bring my poi down or lower the sight? I figured lowering the rear sight would cause me to raise the rear of the gun and therefor shoot lower but the guy I was shooting with has won many competitions and told me to raise the rear to shoot lower. My shoulder was a little sore after only like 20 slugs so I couldn't really experiment too much.
