First Yote calling was a success.

Took my 338 Lapua and my FoxPro Hellfire out to the coulees yesterday and within 5 minutes of starting the jackrabbit distress, had a pair come sneaking down the coulee. The 300 grn Bergers stopped the dogs right in their tracks.

A little shy of 300 yards. Just a stones throw for that calibre but it was interesting to see how little fur damage was done. The small one had no damage at all.

I thought it would be nothing but a pink mist on the snow too. Hmm I have a similar toy. Might just look into a new coyote caller, one with some wolf calling features.
Any plans for the hide. I think it would be cool to wear a hat from an animal I shot myself. I'd have a hard time giving up on the wool one I wear now though.

Big bullets moving slow has a way of doing that. Good shooting and a nice pair of coyotes
