I received my USGI stock today and when i went to put my '07 Norc into it, i noticed that it doesnt sit all the way down into the stock and therefore the trigger group cannot lock into place. I cannot find where it is bottoming out on and i do not want to just start grinding away unless i know exactly where to do it. Has anyone else had this problem?

Is the stock painted? If so, it is probably causing fit issues.

You can verify where the problem issue in couple different ways. Depending on the colour of the stock, you can for example briefly colour the edge lines where the receiver would fit into with a sharpie and press the receiver in. The scrub marks on the sharpie line will show what is rubbing.

Similarly, you can take a light colour grease pencil(china marker) and colour the areas of the receiver that would contact the inside of the stock. Press receiver in and take out to fit contact.

Then if required, you can take extra fine grit sandpaper and polish those surfaces going slow. Check for fit frequently.

Also, keep in mind that if the stock is painted, the trigger group contact points may also be affected.

can you post any pics of the inside of the stock and a side shot of the rig with the reciever in as far as you can get it. don't be afraid to "seat" the action with a rubber mallet by striking it on the receiver heel behind the rear sight.
a tight fit is excellent BUT not if it is tight in the wrong places due to too much paint or improper stock modification to make it chinese rifle compatable.

Sorry, forgot to post last night that i got it to fit. Nothing was wrong with the stock, its nice and snug. I just wasnt used to having to press that hard on the trigger guard to get it to lock since the chu wood stocks arent a snug a fit.

Heres what it looks like in the USGI stock and with the AIA 10 round mag. Still on my list of things to buy is a USGI spec recoil spring and op-rod spring guide.
