Fitting new stocks

I have recieved a aftermarket walnut stockRichard MicroFit stocks. They said that some fitting would be required.

I am looking for tips in fitting the action, and free floating the barrel.

Go slow....use proper wood scraper tools, go very light with chisels though, use a barrel channel cutting tool or proper sized dowling wrapped with sand paper for the barrel channel, use hispot blue or similar to show contact points, if you screw up you can usually glass bed where you took off too much!!
