Fitting prob with new HS stock

Hi,

Just received my new HS Precision stock today. A model PST012 (Police). I dropped the action in (a Remington 700 SPS Varmint), and everything appeared to fit perfectly except for one detail: the safety won't close.

Now I read on Midway's buyer's comments that this thing happens because of the new X-Mark trigger. Have any of you met this problem and if so know of the exact way to solve this?

Inlet the stock to accommodate the safety... or I should say since you are asking - have that done by a shop..

MOst HS stocks are inletted for the old 700 trigger. Some very minor dremeling will make it fit nicely. I even had to do it to an LTR stock using the old trigger. Just a minor clearance thing.

Might want to try a file before the Dremel. Just saying. - dan

Already done. Everything went fine, a few thou off of alu did it.
