I am looking to add new glass to my .223.
I have settled on 10X fixed.
Bushnell 3200???
Weaver T10???
Must be mil dot as that is what I am most familiar with for distance work..
Recommendations, comments would be appreciated, as I have not bought glass for a loooooong time and am not current on the latest and greatest.
Thx

I have two of the Bushnell 3200 10x jobs and I'm very happy with them. One is on a .17HMR and one on a Norinco M14s. No problems with recoil, clear optics, smooth adjustments. They don't have a parallax adjustment feature, but this isn't a concern if you center your eye consistently behind the eyepiece. They have a nice look and feel of quality that is often missing on scopes at this price point (under $250).

I don't have a Weaver scope that is newer than about 25 years so I can't comment on them.

I also have two Bushnell Elite 3200 10X40 mildots, one on my M14S and another on a sporterized M38 Swedish Mauser. IMHO, there is no other scope for that kind of money that comes close in quality and accuracy/repeatability. :D

I've been using a 10x mildot bushnell elite 3200 on a 308. no complaints. I just tried looking it up on the wholesale sports website, they don't carry it anymore, just their firefly reticule. probably won't hurt to try and call.

Have you considered the SWFA Super Sniper. They have the mil-dot retical, finer crosshairs, better adjustments and more elevation.

Can't knock the 3200. If it only had an adjustable objective it would be pretty close to perfect

Yes, there also excellent scopes and have an adjustable objective which the 3200 doesn't have. I've got a 16X one on my sniper rig and love it as well. However, I got mine before 911 when SWFA was still shipping to Canada. They won't ship anywhere else but to USA addresses nowadays :( You can still find them used here from time to time though :)

You can get a Super Sniper scope by legally importing via folks like Questar, but it'll cost you for the paperwork - about $200.

Hard to go wrong with the Bushnell.
