So got my sage stock last night and put it together but the hammer follows the bolt now this never happened on my polymer stock I really need some help.

Found the problem the hammer is worn down bad after less then 600 rounds so I need a new hammer or trigger group probably going to get it from Milarm or if marstar get back to me but pud from bashaw is calling around to great guy put up with my bs pretty good great customer service.

thank you 45acpking that link really helped me out but I decided to file the less expensive part.
I don't know if this is normal but ya that is really shiny eh

No it won't work in my old polymer 100% of the time either all you have to do to make it work is put a sticker on the hammer face and it's works on both again.
 
Sounds like you just need to file down a bit of material off the trigger guard to get it to sit a little higher up in the stock
 
I'll have one soon I'm sending it to marstar for a replacement so I'll get one then but the face is pretty worn all the bluing* is gone from most of it expt the raised area to the side it's the same story with the under side of the bolt I always thought it was wear and tear of the action always used grease on it and oil on the tg but like I said marstar is helping me out so it's all good.
 
I'm gonna bet that replacing the hammer does not solve the problem.

if it doesn't , we'll sort you out here if yer willing to accept advice from those who have been there done that ;)
 
the point is , swapping actions and trigger groups amongst various stocks can and will show that some stocks will pass the hammer follow test and some will not.
this is very common VS worn hammer after 500 rounds not very common

simple modifications to the stock's trigger bearing locations or in case of the sage chassis, modify the trigger housing's bearing points are generally the steps to take.
Parkerizing wear isn't necessarily indicative of an improperly hardened hammer and you may in fact be replacing a part that you don't need to.

Alright I'll try that first but I rather work with the trigger group first then the really expensive stock.

Some one said they have some norinco hhammers how much for one eh. And if that doesn't work where can I remove mat rail from the tg front or back
 
Here's what's not in the stickies------> if you compare the adjustments to the stock in that thread to the areas of the trigger housing that mate to them...... you can use files and caliper to remove the material evenly from each bearing point of the trigger group instead of the much more expensive Sage chassis.
no dremel or other tools required.
small files , caliper and spot bluing compound , that's it.
