So I was getting real frusterated with the fun gun cause it wasn't feeding properly. I thought it might be the rifle, when a round would feed it would ram into the face of the chamber and actually force the bullet about 3/16" deeper into the casing and jam.
I talked it over with some people and after some examination started to think it might be the mag (30 rd Chinese). I tried it at the range and noticed that after a jam I could push the mag forward almost as if it wasn't seating properly. I traded a set of ww2 encyclopedias ($10 Garage Sale) for an East German 30 rd and tried it out this weekend. The result was a flawless shoot and a big relief.
The reason I'm putting this out there is to let anyone else who might have a feed problem with their D know that it might be the mag. That said Russian and other Eastern European mags arent' exactly easy to find or cheep but it is worth a look.
The rifle has been great, the chinese mags however; not so much.
