Does anyone here hunt with a fixed power scope...in the 10x area

if so, how do you like it

Depends what kind of hunting you want to do.

For gophers 10x all the way.

For deer maybe 4x - 6x depending on the terrain.

a good 3x9x will give you what you look for at both ends of adjustment. Close range 3x to 6x and distance at 9x.

8X with european reticle works well. european reticle frames the cross hairs and helps to pick up what you are trying to shoot. works well on the water.

I have a Leupold 6X which I had on a Sako .222 and I loved it. It will be going up for sale soon. Watch for it.
