Situation:
I have a 3-9x40mm scope with a BDC reticle calibrated at 9x magnification. I know the subtenstions in MOA between all ranges for this scope at 9x. I use these lines on the reticle for a quick range estimate for known target sizes.

Question:
If viewing the above scope at 3x magnification or any other magnification, is it still possible to use the reticle for an equivalent MOA by factoring in multiple to 9x MOA reading? For example: at 9x the difference between the 100m and 200m line on the reticle is known to be 3MOA. If on 3x power, this will be equivalent to 9MOA and subsequently 4.5MOA on 6x?

Thanks
