I think this goes in this forum haha. If not someone can move it.

I just picked up a Spikes Tactical side loading 37mm launcher. Brand new.

For some reason, the cocking lever won't budge. It is in the forward position and refuses to let me rack it back. The safety selector is on "F" (will not let me put it on "S" unless it is cocked) and the breach is closed properly.

Not sure what's going on. I really hope I'm not so weak I can't pull it back. Tried for like 20 minutes to no avail. The thing is stuck.

Anyone have similar experiences? Solutions?

For those of you who have one, does your safety switch move both clockwise and counterclockwise, without a click? It just kinda slides/rotates around?

Not sure if its the safety causing it.

They're not taking phone calls.... they're only taking emails... and are answering them in order received.

Still waiting for a response from them.

I might just have to ship it from who I bought it from and get an exchanged one.

My safety does the same.

I was not able to see anything obvious that would cause the cocking lever to bind up. Needs somebody a bit more mechanically inclined then I.

Questar used to carry these, maybe give them a call.

As far as Spikes Tactical, Ive spoken to them three times in the last two weeks. Picked up every time.

The launcher is a cool piece of kit, I hope you get this rectified.

really?! I called and I got some prerecorded message telling me to nod off due to "high demand" as of late and to only email...

I have some 37mm coming soon... hopefully I'll be able to shoot them haha.

Just want to shoot the new toy! :(

Issue has been fixed.

For those of you in the future who have this problem, when Spikes assembles these they press the bolts in pretty hard... It took a couple of strong whacks with a non marring mallet before it started to budge. Just needs to be worked in and greased up some more.

Good to hear.

What 37mm ammo is available in Canada? Is it only the flares, or can we get smoke/gas..?

I have no idea.... I couldn't find any.

I bought the components to reload my own 37mm shells from the US.

I will be shooting "dummy rounds" which are inert projectiles. Don't see a point in making a smoke/gas round. Or I can always load it with confetti :)

The projectiles are designed to be filled with a smoke mixture and ported for a fuse, but I won't be doing that... for now.

Mind sharing where you got the loading components?

PM sent :)

I will post a review once my order arrives safely at my doorstep haha.

I ordered 3 of the "37MM XD High Performance Screw Apart Shell"
They have another shell that uses a .45ACP blank, but I opted for the one that is primer+powder.

Should be a good time.

Here's a video on their projectiles.
