fixed up my old 22 for my grandson

I fixed up my old Cooey Ace 1 .22 cal to give to my grandson ..this rifle was given to by my Dad to me for my first rifle over XX years ago ...I found a CGN member that weaves paracord into different lengths and I will get one for a sling for it , as my Dad drilled the holes in the stock and put a some cord through it for me years ago I didn’t have the heart to fill them in . I used the Outers gun blue kit from crappy tire to reblue the barrel and bolt and it turned out great as it was in horrible shape before .

My Dad told me they were very comman when he was growing up...all the kids carried one to hunt with when they walked to school.

Yup. I'm tempted by one like yours in the EE..but in pretty horrible shape...might be a fun project tho..but not at the price its at..Always liked the simplicity of vintage boys rifle..
