Fixing a tip on a shotgun hammer

My son was using my double bbl Spanish shotgun and it's snapped off a firing pin. It's an El Faisan, nice Guild gun, crossbolted like an Old English fowler.
The firing pin is an extension of the hammer, sort of like an Old Colt SAA.
We were lucky and the tip was in the action and got saved. Now what? These are old guns ( 1960's) and it's not as though the hammers will be easily sourced.
Don't dry fire it, that's obvious.
But can it be brazed or soldered is my query. I do have an Oxy-Acetoline and can braze fairly well. Too small for TIG...it's a firing pin tip.
Any opinions are appreciated.

I would try silver soldering a piece back on, not necessarily the original tip. Use a piece of drill rod that is a bit oversize and that allows you to file a new tip to the correct dimensions and location. If you try silver soldering a small piece back on, almost guaranteed it will scutter around out of position during the process
