hey everyone! I just fixed an issue with my Eotech for under $5 without having to send it out for repairs and she works fine now so i figured I'd share!
The issue was the little black rubber buffer with spring in the middle located in the battery housing. Im not sure how one of them went missing but it did and the second stuck to the battery when i took the batteries out. This caused the connection to not work and the optic to not turn on.

So heres what I did. I went to Canadian Tire and bought 19/32 beveled rubber plumbing washers. I used a razor and cut off the beveled part leaving me with just a flat rubber washer. The next part is the spring in the middle of the washer. If this happens to you then you can use one of the springs for a reference as I did. If not the spring is roughly 1/8 of an inch wide and I cut it little longer than the original one to ensure battery contact. I then carefully used bigger and bigger drill bits to to make the diameter of the hole big enough to hold the spring but allow it to compress.

Now you just have to install this. Use a marker or something close to the diameter of the washer to push the washer/spring into the bottom of the battery housing as the marker will stop it from twisting sideways. The 19/32 washers will fit snug in the battery housing so you don't have to worry about it coming out when you change the batteries and the springs should stay in them no problem connecting your batteries and allowing your optic to turn on.

I hope this helps! Cheers!
